These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tidbit mobile application and related services (“App”) operated by Tidbit (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tidbit. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
The App is designed for students. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your school’s policies.
Tidbit offers optional Premium subscriptions with additional features (such as AI deck generation and advanced analytics).
Free features remain available without a subscription. Premium features require an active subscription.
Tidbit includes social and user-generated content features, including class groups, shared decks, activity posts, and group chat.
You retain ownership of content you create (decks, posts, messages). By posting content in the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the App (for example, showing your shared deck to classmates in your group).
You agree not to post content that:
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or that are reported through our in-app reporting tools. Moderators may review reported content.
You may block other users and report posts or messages you believe violate these Terms. Blocking limits what you see; it does not notify the blocked user. We use reports to enforce community standards but cannot guarantee immediate action on every report.
Premium AI features (such as deck generation from text or photos) send your prompts and, when you use Snap-a-Page, images you choose to our servers for processing. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share. AI-generated flashcards may contain errors — always verify important study material.
AI usage may be subject to fair-use limits. See the App for current quotas.
The App, its design, branding, and built-in study content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.
You agree not to:
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” STUDY CONTENT AND AI OUTPUT MAY CONTAIN ERRORS. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ACADEMIC RESULTS, GRADES, OR EXAM PERFORMANCE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms at this URL and update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
